I started teaching privately in 2010 and have helped students of all ages prepare for their exams (grades 1 to 8), auditions and other performances. Most of my students are long-term students and have been learning with me for 3-4 years, with some up to 6 years. I take great pride in their success and they have had a 100% success rate in the ABRSM exams. In addition to teaching privately, I have also taught in various primary schools in the London Borough of Newham (including in Winsor and Park primary schools), teaching violin to small groups of students in Years 5 and 6 (4th and 5th Grade) to take steps 1, 2 and grade 1 in the ECAM programme created by the London College of Music and the University of West London. I have been playing the violin for over 25 years and I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I really love. I understand some student may not have much time to practice, so I encourage as long as you practice even once or twice per week , set a short goal even one line two lines on the music or couple of bars, progress little and slow but practice on the right way, building right correct position and get used of it still helpful then nothing or some incorrect habit. I am on faculty at Summertrios and the Lake Placid Chamber Music Institute, which are adult amateur chamber music camps. My students have ranged in age from 3 all the way to 83, so I know and understand that there are numerous methods and techniques that go into teaching.
