Instruments: Violin Viola

My personally philosophy is music is a special gift that must be cultivated through passion and efficient practice. Throughout the years, I have had the privilege of studying with some of the best violinists. I have taken lessons and masterclasses with Rocky Lee, violinist and artistic Director of South Coast Symphony Orchestra (SCYSO), Alexander Treger, former Concertmaster of LA Philharmonic Orchestra, Tamara Chernayk, an LA Philharmonic violinist, Randall Goosby, a rising concert violinist, and Gabriel Lefkowitz, Concertmaster of the Louisville Orchestra. I have been teaching for the last 14 years for other music schools as well as my home studio. I love to help new students from the ages of  4-99  in learning the joys of playing an instrument or instruments that they are going to enjoy. Nothing truly satifies me more than to see a student advance in their insturment as each lessons passes by. Daily quality and not quantity practice is something I like to encourage the student to be able to advance much faster in mastering the instrument. I believe in the power of demonstration and playing along with the students. I also encourage students to practice vocal-instrumental coordination when establishing the concepts of musical expression within structures. I adopt some ear training for younger students as they develop a sense of pitch and theoretical knowledge for adults who learn better with checkpoints. I design and adjust learning plans constantly for individual students as they learn and help them with specific goals, long-term and short-term, and have achieved them 100% of the time. Read More

I enjoy teaching this to my students as well as American music with the method books of Mark O'Connor with whom I have worked on several occasions. Learning these styles if fun!
