I'm dedicated to sharing my passion for music as a performer and teacher. Currently, I perform with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. In August 2021, I completed my time at The Orchestra Now at Bard College, which I joined in 2019. We performed classical orchestral works in various venues throughout New York, including Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I've been playing viola for over 15 years. My first teaching experience dates back to High School when I had the opportunity to coach elementary orchestra students. As a student at University of Colorado at Boulder and DePaul University, I completed String Pedagogy courses which covered all the different elements of teaching from how to manage a private studio to instructing your students. I am a singer-songwriter, music educator, and actress from Chicago! I have always incorporated music into my life. My parents put me into violin and piano lessons when I was only four years old! When I was about twelve, I began to do musical theatre and then joined the award-winning group Musicality in high school. I have worked as an orchestra teacher in both Elmhurst and St. Charles in addition to maintaining a thriving private studio, serving diverse learners aged six to 60. For beginning students who are children ages 7 and up without parent support during home practice, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance.
