I am a focused and enthusiastic instructor who's driven to challenge students while providing a positive and enjoyable experience. I am a violist first and foremost with eleven years of training, in addition to studying piano for thirteen years and violin for five. In 2016 I started my Undergraduate degree in Music Education at Ithaca College, and will be finishing my degree at Queens College in 2021. For beginning students who are children, I typically begin by introducing them to the various parts of the instrument, along with the basics of technique and position. New notes and concepts would be introduced through learning familiar songs and pieces. All parents are encouraged to attend their child's violin lessons so that they can aid practice sessions. I have served as a judge for several violin competitions throughout the country, including the CAL ASTA Solo Competition and The Chamber Music Institute's summer concerto competition. As a member of the American String Teachers Association, I also regularly attend conferences and seminars to further my own knowledge as a violin teacher.
