My teaching experience started back in my College days. In 1989, right after my Conservatory graduation I recieved a position as a Violin Senior Teacher at the Institute Of Arts in Chisinau Moldova (Former USSR). I taught for 5 years University students, then I moved with my Concert career and private teaching. My goal is to help and to teach all my students to develop their musical abillities, their working skills, because no matter what profession they will choose in the future: musicians, doctors, sales person, or computer experts, they still have to learn how to work hard to reached their goals in life. Classical music is the base and foundation of all of the styles of music. So I always encourage my students to start with the basics, with musical ABC, then latter, if they decide to play different styles of music like Jazz, Fidlle, Pop etc. It's always easier to combine when you have a strong foundation.

Taking viola lessons in your home is a great way for beginner and advanced students to add lessons to their busy schedule. Not only are you saving money and time on travel, but you are getting the same great lesson experience as you would during an studio lesson. Many children prefer in home lessons as they are able to experience a new instrument in the comfort and security of their home, making them more at ease, allowing them to take in all that the lessons have to offer.
Each student has a different preference when it comes to learning, and as a result the structure of the lesson will vary from student to student. Each teacher works to tailor their lesson plans around each students' specific needs and goals, all while teaching them important aspects of their instrument. Students will learn how to read music, develop musicianship, and proper technique. No two lessons will be the same as all students have different strengths and goals. If the student has a particular style or method in mind, Musika will make a match to a teacher that will be able to accommodate those needs.
Here at Musika we have adult students that begin taking lessons with us every day. Whether you have been playing for years, or are just beginning on your path as a musician, the teachers in our network will work with you to help you achieve your goals. Our in studio lessons are a convenient option for busy adults, and the teachers will work to further you music education no matter what skill level you are beginning at.
Young students will learn all aspects of playing their new instrument. All children will begin to read music, and learn how to handle their instrument properly, as well as start to learn about harmony and rhythm. Violas are a small instrument that can be comfortable for little hands. While most adults will play on a standard full size, the viola also comes in smaller sizes and the teachers in our network will be able to assist you on choosing the correct one.
When lessons begin, students will need to acquire a viola. While most adults will start on a standard full size viola, many children will start with a smaller model. As a child grows, the instrument will need to grow with them, which makes renting an instrument a great option. Any music store staff, or teacher in our network will be able to help you in deciding the right size instrument for the student. Renting can be done on a monthly basis, and allows for less of a financial commitment.

Ileen is a very attentive instuctor. she is patient and works hard to see her student succeed. if a concept is unclear she expains it in other ways to ensure understanding. I would highly recommend ileen to students of all levels who want to learn guitar and music theory to thoroughly enjoy the instrument and music

I have been playing the drums for about 5 years and I have to say that Alvaro is very patient. He has opened me up to new styles of music and I can now play a Songo groove! What I liked most was that he was flexible in what I wanted him to teach me and would also bring in new material specifically to what I wanted him to show me. Overall, great patient teacher and would highly recommend! Thanks Alvaro!

Brett is an accomplished musician, who shared his knowledge at a level that my five year old understands. He is polite and relaxed in his mannerisms but take a serious approach to focusing on the lesson. He is very patient and engaging with the attention span you'd expect from a kindergartener. His motto ever is "sometime you learn faster by going slow"

My son is truly enjoying his lessons with Chris. He looks forward to them and is motivated to practice. Chris is conscientious and shows up on time and whenever he is supposed to. He communicates clearly if rescheduling is ever required and is accommodating when we need to change the day. I would recommend Chris to anyone.

My daughter really enjoys her lessons with Pavel. She is an absolute beginner and Pavel is right with her as she learns the basics. She is completely engaged and always looks forward to her lesson. He packs a lot of learning into their 30 minute time slot - he gets right to it as soon as he walks in the door! He is a great teacher - we highly recommend!

After signing up for lessons with David L. I knew I made the right choice. Just after a couple of weeks I didn't see him as a teacher but as a best friend. There was always a relaxed atmosphere during the lessons. He was very easy to talk to and he really listen to you. If I ever had a question he would answer. He tailors to what ever you want to do in that lesson. David L. is a great teacher and a friend. I totally recommend him for anyone

Unbelievably Awesome. My daughter is a beginner and has some special needs. Justin is more than patient and helpful while being completely thorough and pushing her (in a good way) to try harder. He is encouraging and teaches effectively. I am very pleased. More important, so is my daughter. Thank you Musika! So grateful we found your service and connected with Justin. We highly recommend him.

“My son and I have been taking lessons with Lynn for 5 or 6 years now. She is very patient with younger students (& older students having "senior moments"). She is also flexible in her lessons in that if we want to work on theory, jazz, rock, blues, she will cater to our requests.” – Karl B., C.P.A., Aug 2015

Dan gave private clarinet lessons to my daughter, Annie, for two years. During that time, she excelled as a member of the middle school band, and maintained first-chair. Dan is an excellent teacher, and Annie looked forward to having one-on-one time with him. In addition to practicing pieces with her, he helped her with scales and greatly improved her tone quality.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
