For beginning students it's very important to develop their correct habits of posture, how to hold the violin, hands position, correct breathing. I moved them step by step, once the student has progressed with his technical skills, I will introduce him to the Solo repertoire according to his abilities, for his first recital concert. For the adult students, I think it's a good plan to ask them their goals, their thoughts and how much they think they will be able to practice. According to those factors I will guide my instruction, to bring them up to their higher level.

All of the teachers in our network are highly qualified and able to teach what the student will need in order to be successful with their instrument. While no set teaching method is used by all of the teachers in our network, if you are interested in a particular style, such as Suzuki, we would be happy to match to a teacher who specializes in that. All teachers will teach a combination of music theory, proper technique, and musicianship.
Musika works with all ages and skill levels to help students reach their highest potential! Whether you are an adult beginner, or an advanced player, the teachers in our network will work with you to further your skills, and reach any goals you may have. When starting viola lessons students may decide between buying or renting the instrument. Many beginners choose the rental option as it is less of a financial commitment, and can be done on a month to month basis. When you rent a viola, you will be provided with everything you need which will include the instrument itself, a case, and a bow. Almost all instrumental music stores will offer rental programs, and they can guide you in your choosing of the correct option.
Having lessons in your home can be a very convenient way to introduce music into your busy schedule. You will save time and money on travel, and will be able to have lessons whenever your schedule allows it. By choosing in home lessons, you are able to learn the instrument in a familiar setting, while learning the same things you would normally learn during an in-studio lesson.
Children can start viola as early as age 4. Though there is a standard size for violas, they are also available in smaller sizes which are suitable for small children. As the students grow, they can move up in size, and the instrument can grow with them. Being one of the smaller members of the string family, the viola lends itself well to small hands. Any teacher, or music store professional can help you choose the correct size. On the viola, children will start off learning how to handle the instrument correctly, read music, and develop their overall skills as a musician.

Mr. Lou M. is a God-send! With the various needs that our organization requires from our education partners in order to provide enrichment services to our students, Mr. Lou M. has always gone above and beyond in meeting all of those needs. Our students are learning, our caregivers are happy and satisfied, and we couldn't be more pleased with his performance.

Travis rocks. My 7-year-old son and I both take lessons with him. Travis has moved me off the plateau I was on with lessons that focus on theory and technique. And for my son, he's been able to instill a desire and interest that were missing when he previously took piano lessons. With Travis teaching us, the limits are the ones we impose on ourselves. Needless to say, Travis himself plays a mean guitar to boot!

Noel is amazing. She is helping me to work toward my vocal goals for auditions to several musical theaters. She has helped me choose strong audition pieces and is teaching excellent ways to get the sound I need in a safe and healthy way. She works outside our lessons on new warm ups and new music pieces. She is the best.

Melissa is very encouraging, positive, supportive and patient. She knows how to explain the technical details of flute and music notation to kids in a way that makes sense to them. She has been reliable so far turning up on time and calling if there is a need to reschedule. I would definitely recommend her to others.

Dave is a fantastic teacher. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to students that I think is invaluable. At the same time, this does not limit him from working with beginning students. He is very communicative with the parents as far as schedule changes. We are so grateful to have found him!!

Ali was an amazing voice coach! She taught in a way that made sense to me, and helped me find the voice placements I needed. I didn't know I could sound like that! My development with her was leaps and bounds rather than tiny dreadful steps that happen when you don't know what's going on! Ali was dedicated to helping me work on an audition for a music scholarship and I nailed it all thanks to her, seriously. I can't thank her enough! She helped me with the tools and confidence I needed to sing in the real world alone rather than just back row in a large choir.

We value Chelsea for the quality of her lessons, but also for the flexibility of her schedule. She has worked around family vacations, impromptu summer camps and the upcoming school year. Emily is better prepared to start middle school band this year due to flute lessons from Chelsea and we plan to continue the lessons for the foreseeable future.

Andrew is very encouraging and uplifting, but also isn't afraid to tell you your weaknesses. Andrew also is super awesome with scheduling. Fits around your schedule all the time. He really knows what he is doing and can help you reach your goal in the time you would like to. Couldn't have gotten a better teacher, who continually helps me grow and pushes me.

Kevin is very friendly and professional trombone teacher. During the first session he assessed my 12 year old son's strengths and identified areas for development. He has helped him refine his technique which helps our son in band class but also has him working on duets that help him grow in new ways. He comes to our home and is always very punctual. I would highly recommend Kevin!
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
