I am very confident that my students will love playing, and through that, they will love learning. I really enjoy teaching beginners, as well as advanced students. I keep my advanced students busy with advanced technique studies and expansion of musical abilities, and I teach my beginning students the importance of a strong foundation while always learning something new. I believe playing an instrument is for expressing oneself musically, and that it is important to help each student find their voice.
I believe, that learning music should be enjoyable, rather than stressful. I focuses not just on reading music and playing the notes, but also aural theory, playing without tension both mentally and physically, and understanding the music on an artistic and personal level.
I have performed with various symphony and chamber orchestras, including Yerevan State Symphony Orchestra (viola), Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra (violin), Chamber Orchestra of Yerevan State University (violin, orchestra's concertmaster), Chamber Orchestra of Moscow State University (violin), Chamber Orchestra of Yerevan State Theatre of Opera and Ballet (violin), Chamber Orchestra of Yerevan State Polytechnic Institute (viola).
I started out teaching "house call" style lessons, driving ALL over the area, just to gain students and experience! This was while attending graduate study for Music Education as well. Once I built up a good following, mostly via word-of-mouth, I was able to teach both out of my home (upon purchasing my baby grand piano which is currently in my studio today), and then moving into a shared studio space. I currently rent a whole floor all to myself, equipped with two bathrooms, waiting area, performance space, full PA (sound system), and a plethora of instruments!

Having lessons in your home can be a very convenient way to introduce music into your busy schedule. You will save time and money on travel, and will be able to have lessons whenever your schedule allows it. By choosing in home lessons, you are able to learn the instrument in a familiar setting, while learning the same things you would normally learn during an in-studio lesson.
Our earliest recommended starting age for viola is 5, although exceptions can certainly be made for a younger student who is capable of handling the strings properly and who has sufficient strength in the fingers and hands. A teacher can help you decide which size instrument to choose depending on the age and height of your child.
It is never too late to start a new instrument, we have many successful adult students who have started lessons on an instrument they have always wanted to play. With our convenient in home lessons, adult students can work around their busy schedules and take lessons tailored, by the teachers in our network, for their skill level and personal goals.
As a student starts lessons they will need to provide their own instrument. While advanced students may choose to buy a viola, it is a good idea for beginners to look into rental programs. By renting, there is less of a financial commitment, and you will be equipped with all the accessories you need. Renting also benefits children as string instruments come in different sizes. While the child will most likely start on a small instrument, as they grow, they will need to increase to a larger instrument, and this switch can be done very conveniently if you are renting.
No particular style of teaching is taught by each teacher. All students and teachers are different, and therefore each lesson will be different. All teachers will teach the student how to read music, handle the instrument correctly, and advance their musicianship. Teachers will also work with students on any particular goals they may have. If a student is interested in a certain style of teaching, we would be more than happy to pair with a teacher who works with that method.

Gina is very supportive and encouraging. Even though I get frustrated with my progress, she can tell that I've been practicing and reminds me of how far I've come. She challenges me to learn new skills without giving me a piece that I cannot master (with practice). I'm happy that she is my music teacher and look forward to many more lessons in the future.

Jessie is the finest musician I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I find her overall concept of approaching an instrument to be both comprehensive and effective. Each technique she has acquired has made it possible for her to tailor her method to a variety of ages and individuals. I cannot speak more highly of Miss Jessie's abilities. Her lengthy and impressive cradecials speak for themselves. I recommend no hesitation in seeking her services!

Melissa is very encouraging, positive, supportive and patient. She knows how to explain the technical details of flute and music notation to kids in a way that makes sense to them. She has been reliable so far turning up on time and calling if there is a need to reschedule. I would definitely recommend her to others.

Darrell is A-Maz-Ing! He demands results from his students and therefore results come quickly. The time he spends teaching is intense and packed with great instruction. He is a tough teacher but offers lots of valuable instruction that is applicable for music as well as life in general. I highly recommend Darrell if you are ready for results!

This is the 1st time I've ever taken lessons, and Robert has been a pleasure to work with. I've made quick progress and have enjoyed the process. I'm always listening for those tips that you can't find in a book. I can count on Robert to be strict on the fundamentals and am clear it will make a difference in the long run.

Our daughter has only been playing the piano since March. Tony replaced our other teacher who had a job transfer and could no longer teach. Tony is fun and encouraging. My daughter is playing Taylor Swift and Christmas songs and is playing the piano more than ever before. Very happy so far with Mr Tony

Steve gets you started right away with songs but also goes into music theory and reading music which adds to understanding and appreciation of the music. He is very approachable and you can tell that he absolutely loves music and teaching. It is hard not to be excited about the process of learning with Steve. If you are considering lessons I highly recommend Steve for any level of student.

Being I'm a woman, I was a little apprehensive having a male teacher (he knew this), however, after my trial lesson I realized he knows what he's doing and I had nothing to worry about!! He is very knowledgable on the piano and vocal techniques. He has a big vocal range so he is able to hit the high notes to be able to show me how I need to sing it. He is also phenomenal on the piano. I would highly recommend him for vocal and piano. Also, I don't know how to sight read music and he is teaching how to. I've been taking lessons with him for a month (my trial lesson was on 1/11) and I have already seen a huge improvement. I am an intermediate level singer looking to improve my vocal technique, breathing and improve my confidence in my singing abilities, Alex is definitely helping me do that.

Mrs. Regnarene is an awesome teacher!!! She found musical aids that appealed to my 5 year old daughter and used them to help teach her piano. She has a lot of patience and I could tell she puts in the work before class to have a lesson ready for my daughter. She is always punctual, friendly and respectful. I would recommend her to any parents who want to start their kids off with a good foundation in piano. Jermain T. Riverview, FL
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
