In 2018, I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies. I start lessons by warming up and doing exercises. For children, I do this in a listen and response setting. Then I will work through school songs or performance pieces, focusing on rhythms first, notes second and musicallity third. These 3 aspects lead to musicial mastery. I finish each lesson with an easy cool down. With in each lesson, I focus on musical styles that the students are interested in and work towards goals that the student set for themelves. Read More

I have over 20 years of experience playing brass and 17 years as a Bass Trombonist. I studied under Mexican Symphony Orchestra trombonist David Quintinar and have played with the Solano Symphony Orchestra, Benicia Ballet, Sacramento Youth Symphony, Pasadena Community Symphony, and countless smaller rock and jazz groups. I have taught private trombone lessons while I was attending University of North Texas and taught trombone and piano for another private music company. I make sure to keep active on my trombone by playing in as many bands as possible and encourage my students to do the same. I work together with students to find and set short term, midterm, and long term goals so that visible growth of their abilities can be observed, tracked, and appreciated.
