Jazz trumpeter and composer Jeff L. is a Grammy member and two time SXSW Austin Music Awards winner. Jeff has performed at One World Theater, Stateside at the Paramount, and the Long Center for the Performing Arts since his arrival on the Austin music scene in 2007. If a student has a grasp of the fundamentals, I work with the basic blues and scales to build a repetoire. For Adults, I like to work with jazz standards as well as H.L. In 2019, I graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX with a Bachelor of Music degree with a double major in Instrumental Music Education and Spanish. I have gotten the chance to perform at the International Tuba Euphonium Festival at Emory University in Atlanta, GA back in summer 2017 to become a better tuba player and overall brass player.
