I believe in the pursuit of mastery of many of the basic techniques of brass playing - air movement, flexibility, and tone are the most important pieces of what we do as brass players, and I have collected an arsenal of exercises to build skill in these areas. My teaching style allows the child to have fun while they learn their instrument, but I emphasize a strong practice regiment. Practicing on a regular schedule is the best way for young students to improve, as well as older students to continue to perfect their technique.
