My primary instrument for the past 16+ years is trumpet; I also regularly perform on assorted brass, electric bass, and vocals. I have spent the past three years living in Miami where I completed my Masters Degree in music education. During this time I was an active trumpet player in south Florida playing with orchestras, brass bands, jazz groups, and quite regularly latin bands due to the popularity of salsa/latin styles in that region. My Bachelors degree was completed in 2006 at the Univeristy of Delware. I began teaching private lessons as a high school student. I was the section leader in marching band and would often work one-on-one with trumpet players in my section. I began teaching in-home lessons during my first four years of undergrad. After earning my music education degree, I began teaching privately at the Adam's Music Conservatory in Maple Shade, New Jersey.
