I began teaching in 2012 when I was awarded the Graduate Assistant position at Western Michigan University. As a G.A., I was responsible for teaching non-music majors saxophone lessons, theory and ear-training, as well as coaching ensembles. I also taught flute and clarinet at Paramount Charter Academy in Kalamazoo, Michigan to middle school students. Begining Students I work on creating a nice tone and understanding of instrument as a whole.  I use standard of excellence training books and move on depending on students willingness and skill. Teach Jazz Improv to all levels.  Concentrate on jazz vocabulary, expression, style, and creating in the moment. Also teach meditation which leads to better practice and healthier living. I graduated from University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music with a degree in Acoustical Engineering, concentration in Trumpet in 2017. I graduated as the valedictorian of my class. I have played in many places across the state of CT and have had many opportunities to perform and learn from many incredible instructors. As an educator my goal and ambition isn't necessarily to develop future professional musicians. (although I'm happy to do so) For me the more important and rewarding factor is assisting in growing a flame of a passion, love understanding of music performance into a wild fire!
