It is always important in order for the student to progress, they must try their best to make time to practice, for at least 30 minutes (especially for newcomers). What I believe can help motivate them is by showing examples or sharing video clips of their favorite jazz trumpet tunes or clips. Since 2011, during the summers, I was an employee for the New York Summer Music Festival or NYSMF for short. I started at NYSMF as a counselor and music theory teacher and I later earned a position as TA and Commercial Voice-Over Teacher.
