Hi! I am a passionate music student at NMU and I have been playing the trumpet for 14 years now. I am going to be a senior this next school year and will be graduating next spring! I really love working with students and I love sharing my knowledge and love for music! I've been able to play with many great musicians, as I have played with the Marquette Symphony Orchestra, play at the Cathedral in Marquette, and play with The Marquette City Band, and other well known groups in the area. As a Vocalist, my recent engagements include La Boheme with Projekt Opera, Concert engagements with Indianapolis Opera, a European tour with the Blue Lake International Choir and Orchestra, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp staff, A Little Night Music with the Chickasaw Civic Theatre, Rigoletto with the Pensacola Opera, Gianni Schicchi, The Old Maid and the Thief, and Werther with BSU Opera Theatre, to name a few. Let’s make music And memories together ! Teaching is my passion but MUISC IS MY LIFE! I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. If a student isn't having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. I tailor my teaching to the interest and styles of my students. I put emphasis on teaching all related facets of music as well as focusing on technique. Since moving to Ann Arbor 15 years ago, all of my students have reached the top band in their high schools and most were first chair/section leader by their senior year.
