After a few months I decided I needed more strings to play with and purchased an electric guitar. My life changed that day. Every day after that for the next 4 years I practiced the guitar. By the time I graduated high school I was playing lead guitar in a cover band, and getting some attention in the local music scene. For beginners we will take it slow but hard work is always needed. I can teach you everything that I know,but it’s up to the student to take in what’s going on and work hard to get down fundamentals . Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I have been a band director for thirteen years and have much experience starting students on all instruments. Music has been a long-time passion for me since I was a kid. In 2003, I was a 3rd grader in Carpenter Elementary School in Lake Orion learning about the orchestra, when one of the 5th grade students or one of my classmates brought his trumpet with him.
