As a Vocalist, my recent engagements include La Boheme with Projekt Opera, Concert engagements with Indianapolis Opera, a European tour with the Blue Lake International Choir and Orchestra, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp staff, A Little Night Music with the Chickasaw Civic Theatre, Rigoletto with the Pensacola Opera, Gianni Schicchi, The Old Maid and the Thief, and Werther with BSU Opera Theatre, to name a few. I began piano lessons in the 2nd grade, and studied flute and guitar, and finally settled on playing French Horn in High School. I took lessons from a horn player in the Detroit Symphony. I majored in French horn and orchestral conducting at the Rubin Academy in Tel-Aviv, Israel, and completed my Undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. For each instrument, I have the same basic approach: discover what they like, assess what they can do, and begin with the fundamentals.  If a student is more advanced, I still like to spend time on fundamentals at the beginning anyway to see if we can fill in any foundational weakness that the student may have.   For each instrument, I also have a wide array of repitoire that I give students that zero-in on technical challenges a student will be presented with.
