I am a caring and compassionate instructor that prefers students on a basic to intermediate level where I can actually give them the true appreciation and understanding for success with music. My teaching experience dates back to when I was in high school, when I began teaching beginning students of all instruments 10 years ago. I have been consistently teaching students in their homes, my home, and online for the past 5 years. Ive found that introducing students to as many different styles of music as possible goes a long way in helping students enjoy playing their instrument and listening to recordings of their instrument. I know that music is about developing a vocabulary. Developing the ability to construct music without the need for a teacher is the direction I like to go in. A good teacher will only guide the student not dictate to them. Having an interest in many styles of music allows me the chance to be more open to teaching the beauty of writing a simple 3 chord progression or orchestrating for a full orchestra. Read More
