Michael is a musical director, lyricist/composer, and music producer with an extremely varied background. He formed a medieval ensemble to perform at the premier of ROBIN AND MARIAN, and a Country-Western band for the South African equivalent of the Kentucky Derby. I have been teaching music lessons since high school at the South Orange/Maplewood Adult School Summer Program back in 2009. I like to working with kids to encourage them to continue playing music and to build up a steady regimen of practice and self evaluation. I want to make learning music fun for my students and I want them to want to learn more and become better musicians. Over my 20 years there, besides my classroom instruction, I have taught private lessons on all brass instruments and several woodwind instruments including flute, clarinet, and alto & baritone saxes.
