I have been fortunate to perform over 1,800 professional commitments in my career as well as teaching roughly 25 students. Standard repertoire in classical and jazz studies is also covered. Sight-reading, improvisation, and ear-training are also a part of most lessons. For all students, learning and being comfortable with all scales and keys is an essential fundamental skill I teach. I look to be sure that each student enjoys the material as well as music as a whole. Therefore, each student should be able to progress at their own pace. As a student progresses, I do have an admittedly bad habit of speeding up material a bit too much, so I encourage all students to let me know when something is too much for them.
