Dan received his Bachelors Degree in Trombone Performance from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He credits his time at Baylor University for teaching him the value of a supportive and nurturing environment balanced with hard work and dedication. Dan has had the unique opportunity to be able to study with a long list of great trombonists across the nation. In the summer of 2006 Mr. Eichelberger was asked to serve as the Assistant Director of Bands and Music Arranger at his alma mater Miami Carol City Senior High. In April of 2007 Mr. Eichelberger was asked to serve as the Interim Director of Bands at Miami Carol City Senior High after the Promotion of Fedrick C. Ingram to Secretary/Treasurer of United Teachers of Dade. Mr. Eichelberger has been a Guest Clinician at the Savannah State University Summer Band Camp, (2012), Florida A&M University Marching 100 Summer Band Camp (1998-2002, 2004) Dade County Parks and Recreation Annual Summer Performing Arts Camp (1999), Miami Northwestern Senior High (1999), North Miami Beach Senior High (2004) and Florida Memorial University Miami All-Star Summer Band Camp (2003-Present), and several high schools in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The love of music is one of the strongest passions in my life. I have been preforming professionally with the U.S. Fleet Marine Corps Music program for almost ten years. Through that program I have been able to perform in sixteen different countries for presidents, vice presidents, kings, queens, and prime ministers. I am a driven performer, as well as an inspired instructor who learns just as much from his students as they do from him. In 2014, I graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz/Commercial Trombone Performance. I have toured all over the country playing in many different bands, allowing me to experience many things in life that I never would have without music. In 2012 I started teaching students in their homes. I quickly learned the ins and outs of teaching and have never looked back. In the fall of 2013 I gained additional experience while teaching music to kids at Ideal Day Care center. At first I was unable to engage the students, but soon I was the star teacher at the day care center. Watching their faces light up every time they saw me was truly one of the best experiences of my life. Read More

I also give my younger students a practice log so they can track how much they practice. I like to treat it like a game. That way they look forward to practicing and can gain an appreciation for the trumpet. I also want the student to look forward to lessons with me. Not for my own personal sake, but I want the student to enjoy taking lessons. If they don’t enjoy lessons, they aren’t going to want to play. Read More
