When working with younger students, my approach is twofold. First, I like to work with Alfred's Basic Series to establish a solid goundwork for reading music and mastering technique. I have found that I am most fulfilled when my students reach the next level on their instrument. I am passionate about music and do my best to help my students learn to love music as much as I do. For repertoire I emphasize classical pieces and also help the student with pop and holiday pieces;i.e- Schumann's Album for the Young, Beginning Bach minuets,Bach and Clementi sonatinas, etc. Read More

After we work through the example together, I will have them try playing it alone and if a particular area needs to be fixed I will address it, make sure the student understands, and move on from there.
