We took trips to Chicago every other year to see the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and to do a workshop at Northwestern University and my students received first and second division ratings at Solo and Ensemble both at the district and state levels. I was a judge for solo and ensemble and band festivals. I have taught private voice/piano lessons for the 5 years. I have experience teaching students from ages 10-65. When teaching any student at any level, I begin with fundamentals in order to better assess their skill level. As other techniques are introduced, I continue to reinforce the fundamentals. I encourage my students to practice every day and help them to set goals for their practice sessions throughout the week.
