Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Piano, Clarinet
For beginning students, I will usually recommend a fundamentals book to help structure the lessons and teach the basics before moving onto repertoire that is more advanced. For others who either have more experience or are adults, I create lesson plans based on their goals for taking private lessons. Read More
Instruments: Piano
For beginning students that are children, I like to use Faber's Piano Adventures or Music for Little Mozarts series depending on age. Later on I will advance them to simple classical solo pieces as well as any modern pieces they are interested in learning. For adults, I accommodate their lessons based on their goals. If they are unsure I will start with the Alfred's Basic Adult All- In- One Piano book and go from there. Read More

I love teaching students music. I have grown up around music my whole life. I grew up in Alabama and started taking piano lessons when I was 5 years old. I had amazing teachers and learned so much from them. I am actively involved in not only my students music abilities but my own as well, I never stop learning! Read More

Since each student learns differently, I utilize a variety of teaching methods. Some students are auditory learners. Some students are visual learners. Some students learn better when several method books are used in correlation with each other. No matter what instrument I am teaching to a student, due to my years of experience, I have an extensive library of materials, methods, and literature that I can implement into my lessons. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Trumpet, Saxophone, Drums, Orchestral Percussion, Latin Percussion, Music, Djembe
I create my own lesson plans (and some materials) specific to each student. Some standard books I use are Alfred's Drum Method book 1, The New Breed, Portraits in Rhythm, The Drummer's Complete Vocabulary to name a few. The books are necessary for developing music literacy, however I remind students that the pages don't make sound!!! Developing a discerning ear is paramount in my approach. Therefore we do a lot of listening and I engage students in dialogue for them to develop a personalized mental image of what they are trying to play. Read More
