My beginning students learn the fundamentals of their instrument. I want every student to get a well rounded education from me. Woodwinds students study from Essential Elements. Young piano students use the Faber collection and older students use the Bastien series for the Older Beginner. Practical Theory from Sandy Feldstein is used for instrumental students. I find it equally important to be able to hear the notes that one can play on their instrument just like they can see the notes they can play in the process. I do not put deadlines or timelines on any student's progress, and I also realize that each student's needs are unique to each and every person.
