However, the two things that I try to keep consistent among all of my students is a solid technical foundation and curiosity for different musical styles. For beginners, I typically start with the Rubank Beginner or Intermediate method book. I began playing the piano when I was eight, picked up the saxophone at ten, and have been playing flute and clarinet now for about six years.
