Now, she is a capable piano player whose repertoire ranges from Mozart to Chopin. She works harder on the piano than anyone I have met. My second student was a colleague at NJIT. Liz started playing the flute at the age of six. At a very early age she started formal musical training in her native home town of San Juan Puerto Rico and quickly developed great appreciation for music and arts. She was accepted in an arts specialized school where she was constantly exposed to private lessons, large ensembles and chamber music. Upon finishing this program, she was accepted in the Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico where she earned her Bachelors Degree in flute performance. Read More

It was because of this grant that I was able to attend the Boston University Tanglewood Institute for Saxophone Performance, where I took lessons and studied with some of the North Shore's greatest saxophonists, such as Ken Radnofsky and Jennifer Bill. For several years in a row, I have attended the Massachusetts Music Educators Association conference and took a variety of different masterclasses centered around education and musicianship. In the future, I would like to return to college to get a Master's Degree in Music Education, and continue to take inspiration from the music educators before me. Read More

I'm a recent transplant to Brooklyn, NY after spending seven wonderful years studying and working in Boston! Originally from Gainesville, Florida, I first learned piano, then added saxophone, clarinet, flute, and bass in my middle and high school years.
