I am currently a Senior Music Education Major at Eastern Michigan University. I am a saxophonist in the EMU Wind Symphony, EMU Big Band, EMU Saxophone Ensemble, EMU Jazz Saxophone Sextet, Stone Tower Saxophone Quartet, Krangerson Duo, REMIX, and Funkwagon. I have also marched Quads for Impact Percussion, and the EMU Drumline. I also play drumset in several jazz combos. Then when I was attending Miami University, I started my own studio of three high school trombone students; I did that for 2 years. I have been teaching private lessons for five years now to students aged 8-18. I have also taught general music classes to 3 month-two year olds in an early childhood music class. My students have excelled through solos, ensembles, festivals, etc. I believe in consistency of instruction and positive reinforcement and criticism. Eventually we will work on various solo pieces such as classical repertoire, or even movie or pop tunes.
