Greetings, I'm a recent college graduate who studied secondary education (grades 7-12). I'm a lifelong musician, and have been playing guitar and alto saxophone for about 20 years. I've also been playing piano for about 10 years. I studied music theory, composition, and musicianship for four years; and I continue to use these skills in my practice as a professional musician today. Technique as well as theory are equally important. It is also important to have fun while learning. I like to use the Hal Leonard lesson books combined with excersises that I have created. I can also teach songs requested by students and explain and demonstrate how theory and technique apply to the tune. After graduating from Temple University, in 2017 I performed at the North American Saxophone Alliance Conference at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA; the New England Saxophone Symposium at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; as well as a solo and chamber music recital at Smith College in Northampton, MA.
