I firmly believe that students will lose interest in music quickly if I always teach all students the same techniques and follow conventional music theory. I realized immediately that I had a passion for connecting people to their passion for music and wanted to continue doing that. I eventually began to teach outside of school in the homes of interested students in the Washington, D.C. area. However I can teach without a book on any instruments and compose assignments as I have done in the past.
