I like to make things fun and cater to each student's abilities and needs. I like to work from books with beginning students because music literacy is very important to me. As students develop, I begin ear training and diving deeper into music theory when necessary. I think in order to grow as a musician you need to play music that inspires you and I aim to have all students wanting to practice because they are excited about their repertoire. Read More

Philosophy Every student, musician and person is different. I think it's my job to find out what inspires and motivates each student, and guide them towards their goals. At the core my goal is for the student to improve, and enjoy how wonderful it is to play music. Read More

I was thrust into the fashion scene and became a well known urban designer in Chicago. Read More

For my beginning students, I start off with Hal Leonard's Absolute Beginners - Alto Saxophone method book to start them off with the basic fundamentals of reading music and playing the saxophone. For my more advanced students, I introduce fundamental saxophone techniques as well as solo repertoire. For adults, I encourage them to come up with a set of goals, and I set up each lesson so that we meet these goals. Read More
