When the student has developed a grasp of the fundamentals I will begin to introduce solo repertoire that will build upon that fundamental knowledge and engage them in the joy of performance. For adults, I engage the students interest in music and find repertoire and exercises that reflect their goals and desires. This often involves learning the chords within the songs and allows us to start focusing on a strum pattern as well.
