Since graduating, I have had 2 long-term substitute positions and I am currently working as a music teacher at a primary school in Lancaster County. I've been teaching piano to students of all ages as my sole profession since 2002.  I usually have between 20 and 25 students at a time.  I have also earned certification through the Music Teachers National Association through a combination of testing and proofs of competency.  I keep up to date professionally  through my memberships in Lancaster Music Teachers Association and the Main Line Music Teachers Association, the National Guild of Piano Teachers and in my role as the Center Coordinator for the Music Development Program.  Most of all though, I've learned from my students, who are always the best teachers.  The part I love best about my job is that I get to cater the curriculum to each student individually.  Each student can have their own "best assignment". I pay special attention to the students' reactions and guide them from there because passion for the instrument is the top priority, and is the fuel to keep a musician going whether it is for a career or a hobby. I start by giving the student trivial assignments, but will quickly ramp it up to find their limits. If I find the student's limit, I will keep it just below that so the student can accomplish the given tasks, yet they can be outside their comfort zone. Read More

I started piano lessons at age 5 and voice lessons at age 14 and continued through college at Smith College, studying with Monica Jakuc and Kenneth Fearn for piano and Jane Bryden for voice. Teaching violin is my greatest passion in life and I have dreamt of teaching since I was very young. I went to Mason Gross for both music education and also for violin performance. I teach strings in public school at East Greenwich and I play in many orchestras in the area. Recently, I have performed with the Ocean City Pops Orchestra and I served as section leader for the Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria where we performed in the Haydnsaal and St Stephens Kirchedom in Vienna and these were huge opportunities! I received a Master’s degree in Music from the Boyer College of Music in Philadelphia, PA in 2015 for Vocal Performance. Before that, I graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P.I. Tchaikovsky in Kiev in 2013, where I received a Bachelor in Music, took parts in a lot of operas ("Le nozze di Figaro", "Eugene Onegin", "Faust") and also earned a certificate of teaching.
