I work closely with my students on crafting a lesson plan that best suits their interests. I've never been a homework guy; instead, I like to inspire my students by following their desired goals. Want to learn how to play like Metallica? Let's do it. Want to write songs like Taylor Swift? I'm game. Want to play bass like Flea? That's a challenge I'm up for. I like to consider myself as not only a teacher, but also as a bandmateyour goals are also mine, and we're working together to help you achieve them. Read More

I believe that there is no "cookie-cutter" way to teach music. It is a very creative art-form which calls for room for creativity. My teaching experience dates back to the early 2000s, I began teaching private lessons part time. In 2009, I began teaching for a local performing arts school full-time. Among the accomplishments of my prior students, I have 3 who have graduated and attended Berkeley School of Music in Boston, 1 graduated from New York Film Academy and is working off Broadway, 1 who graduated from Pace University then went on to perform on Broadway and now is performing along side Rod Stewart, I have 2 who are now teaching music, and a number of others who are in college, have graduated, or are recording, writing and/or performing nationally and internationally. This is all to say that there isn't one method that is perfect for all students. My experience with so many approaches helps me to give my students the best possible learning experience. Read More

I always meet a student where they are at and then guide them to gain the skills that they require for the goals they want to achieve. I don't subscribe to the notion that one MUST read music to play music - that is not how most of the world works, but I am a large advocate of being literate. Read More
