During my undergraduate years I was fortune to go on Domestic tours every semester where I performed with the Wind Ensemble, Choir, and Handbell Choir. In 2013 I toured internationally to Asia where chamber music was performed and taught to the students of selected academies and music programs. in 2016 I was asked to return to Asia and be the Artistic Director for the tour where I would oversee rehearsals, design the program, communicate with prospective donors for the tour, and perform as a soloist. My approach to teaching is completely different for each and every student. First and foremost, I first try to understand the student's pace and his/her previous knowledge in the respective instrument. That way, I can assign personalized practice routines to get them started. From there, I start to set goals, push their potential, and leap towards challenges that pushes the student's passion and curiosity.  In addition to teaching I am an active freelance flute and piccolo player. I love playing in symphonies and opera orchestras and have worked with conductors Pierre Vallet, Keith Chambers, and David Bernard among others. I particularly love the exhilaration of soaring above the orchestra on piccolo. I have performed at venues throughout the city including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Symphony Space.  I received my Bachelor's in Music in Flute Performance from New York University, graduating summa cum laude in 2007. Most of my private study has been with Dave Larson of the New Jersey Symphony and Dave Rogers, a William Paterson jazz adjunct.
