I enjoy working closely with my students to discover the kind of music they like and any specific songs they want to learn. I encourage students to always be thinking of new pieces and to bring them in to work on. My teaching experience involves both in the school classroom setting and outside in the private studio. I was given the opportunity to work as a vocal consultant at the middle school level in 2016 and coached the students one-on-one on their region competition pieces. The following year, I taught private voice lessons of which most were beginning students. My students came from zero knowledge to obtaining the ability to sing and sight-read, an understanding of the music theory, and could now say "I can sing"! Read More

I've recently moved to the Bryan/College Station area to work at Texas AM as part of their Center for Teaching Excellence. I also play piano at Covenant Presbyterian Church! I received my PhD in Fine Arts from Texas Tech in 2018, having studied there with Dr. William Westney, performing recitals, accompanying instrumentalists and vocalists, teaching group classes and private lessons, as well as serving as pianist at multiple churches.
