Emotion inspires creativity, creativity can take one form in music, music becomes instrumental performance or vocal performance. From there, one can branch out into formal disciplines such as dance, theater, and solo music. The phrase "I love you" can transform from a simple statement, into a song such as "Speak Softly, Love" from The Godfather. Following a long, fun and successful 20+ year career as a pro musician, I became a full-time music teacher. I was the founding music teacher at St. Benedict's Episcopal school in Smyrna, GA where I taught music K-8 for seven years. Then I joined The SAE School in Mableton, GA, where for the past three years I have taught K-12 music, creating a new middle school orchestra and high school Project Based Learning curriculum for music. I teach scales and notes first, then comes the fingering for the notes on the pages. Read More

I am a passionate, self-motivated, energetic music instructor who loves work with students and sharing my love of music. In 2016, I graduated from South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Industry and minored in Music Education. Within those studies, my primary instrument of focus was the trombone, however, along the way, I picked up and worked on different types of instruments, such as the flute, all of the low brass, piano, and my vocal ability.
