Teaching is something I find incredibly rewarding and take very seriously. Watching a student progress and gain confidence is something that brings me joy and satisfaction. I love finding the soul of the song and pulling out the passion of the student so that they are engaged and intrigued by whatever we're doing at all times. I began teaching piano and voice lessons in 1996 when I was a college student. I was trained to teach by the director of Studio 90 Music School in Massachusetts. I then went on to acquire my own students, and travelled around the greater Boston area teaching children and adults in their homes. I have also taught out of many local music stores. I began teaching private music lessons while I was working on my Bachelor of Music degree. I also was a teaching assistant for guitar classes at the university that I attended. After I graduated I continued to teach privately, at music stores and technical colleges including Lake Washington Technical College. I taught at Bellevue American Music for over twenty years.
