My primary instrument is voice, and I am passionate about guiding growing singers in finding their voice, developing healthy vocal technique, learning helpful music theory, and fostering a love of music! Each student is different with variety of expectations, abilities and interests, so as I get to know them, I try to best cater to their needs and find ways for them to learn while growing and improving on every level, not just musically. Students are also taught simple vocal exercises from basic fundamental books, as well as stretching and breathing exercises.I use a variety of music books,depending on the level of the student. For BEGINNING students, I teach piano but also theory as well. In order to play the piano accurately, the student must know theory. I teach using James Bastien's primary-level 4 books. Within those books, they offer a Piano book, Theory book, Performance book, and a Technic book.
