I'm an instrumentalist, producer, and artist who is infatuated with the concept of music. I find great joy in sharing with other's eager to learn about the art form. Primarily I have been a trombonist since a young age, but I also have a reputable amount of knowledge in piano. I have been lucky enough to play in many different musical settings from orchestra halls to jazz clubs across the world. Other than instrumental music I perform and create hip-hop music and instrumental music production spanning multiple genres and styles.
I began teaching back when I was in high school. I distinctly remember helping the younger trombonists at the grade schools and helping lower classmen as I got older. By the time I was a senior in high school I had several private students and I have been teaching routinely various students ever since. I intend to use my own experience and connections within the musical realm as a guidance tool to my students. I encourage students to aspire for their highest aspirations and make it a priority to help and assist them in their goals.
My aim as an instructor is to help each student progress in their own goals an aspirations by adapting and providing the information necessary to be set on a path directed towards his or her individual journey within music. I prefer having a good balance between technical facility of the instrument and the study of the music itself, whether that be in understanding a genres history, improvising and creating music, or transcribing and listening to music within the field of directed study. I very much find interest in all aspects of music.
I want to see my students gain knowledge as well as a passion for music from their time of study. I intend to fulfill both of these objectives by assessing and evaluating each students individual skill set and catering to the ideas concepts that in my opinion will help them progress in the way most needed. I find it very important that music becomes fun for those learning it. The enjoyment of the art is what continues to push me forward in my learning to this day, therefore it is very important that music becomes a place of joy and fun, even within education.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
