Im a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students of all ages and sharing my love of music! In 2010, I graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance. I started teaching private lessons while in college and loved it so much I never stopped! I have performed in various choirs and ensembles throughout the years and enjoy performing in musical theater productions. Young students love playing the pop tunes, so I whole-heartedly accept them finding a book of broadway or pop tunes and brining it to lessons. For the older students, I always go to the Rose 32 Etudes for Clarinet, focusing primarily on the slower etudes to continue developing tone. I continued teaching private lessons, while also conducting a high school youth choir in Chicagoland after moving to IL. After a few years my family and I moved to the greater Cincinnati area where I currently teach as a high school choral and drama teacher while serving as the theatre manager as well. I strongly encourage my students to learn to communicate with their music; while building strong technique and working on artistic expression, I want each student to be able to use music as a language. I was involved in the music program in my church as a teenager singing in the youth choir and playing in the handbell choir.
