Music is emotional art and I like to explain it how it easy if you know basic knowledge. For me it's important making good progress in small think of student work. These new small developments are required to be accomplished during my lessons. My style is more practice then explaining. I try to show emotion in music rather than just playing simple notes. My style of teaching is not directly one ways for all students,I have to change it always when I can see that some are wrong,or don't works well. Read More
Instruments: Piano
My teaching style is very flexible. I am able to teach classical, as well as many different musical genres. I am able to arrange piano songs to the student's level and write down the scores from the songs. My ultimate purpose of teaching piano is to make my students ENJOY their performances. However, the key factor in improving piano skills is hard practice. Making sure their children keep practicing is always challenging for parents and teachers, but please remember that everyday practice is required if you would like to progress your piano performance. At 16 I began playing professionally in the Chicago Area in combos, trios and backing up vocalists. I was very forutnate to have studied with three amazing teachers, Herman Shapiro in Chicago(a professor at DePaul University and a student of Rudolph Ganz(The Director of the Chicago Musical College, Carl Mosbacher-a professor at New York University and the Mannes School of Music and Julian White in the Bay Area who was a student of Egon Petri. My teaching style nurtures the students love of the instrument while tossing in technical details along the way! Especially when beginning a new instrument, acknowledging goals that a student has, or songs they would like to learn to perform is essential to helping that initial eagerness to continue throughout lessons, and to help the student feel accomplished in their instrument. Together, the student and I will set realistic goals for them in their instrument to complete songs, technical aspects, warm ups, etc. and I will help them to achieve those goals. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private piano lessons part time 10 years ago. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that finding the genre the student likes can go a long way in helping them enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More
