My music career has given me the opportunity to sing in many different styles including Opera, Jazz, Music Theatre, Pop, Rock, Country, and more. After vocalizing, I begin working on the repertoire that I have assigned the prior week. Along with that I pick pieces that the student will find enjoyable as a means to keep them encouraged. We learn to speak through trial and error having no wrong words and music should be taught in a similar fashion, where there are no wrong notes.
