With more than 10 years classical music training and education, I strongly believe my passion in music and solid singing technique can help my students improve their musicality and skills. In 2021, I graduated from College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati with a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance. Part of our final project included giving a sample lesson to a colleague, and I fell in love with helping someone achieve their goal through singing. I have taught in several different settings over the years, but my private studio has been the most satisfying environment. Regardless of the level of musician, basic fundamentals are extremely important to a brass musician. In fundamental studies, we will learn lip slurs, tonguing exercises, efficient breathing, excellent buzzing technique, etc. We will achieve maximum proficiency in basic fundamentals by using method books (according to skill level) , such as Remington, Schlossberg, Arban's, ect., and personally curated exercises designed for the individual. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, she moved to Cincinnati to continue her studies with a Graduate Incentive Award Scholarship. She completed with a Masters of Music as well as an Artist Diploma at University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music under Dr. Catharine Lees and Mr. Masao Kawasaki. At CCM she studied chamber music under Ariel Quartet and was a member of CCM Philharmonia and Concert Orchestra. She performed four solo recitals and two chamber recitals during her Master’s program. I am a passionate teacher of the flute and piccolo. I am currently available to teach lessons at my home studio or online. I have helped students prepare for performances in Cincinnati and Japan, scholarship auditions, and begin the flute from scratch. I understand the needs of young students and works to instill confidence in every musician I teach. I began flute later than many (age 14 to be exact). Personally, I think one of the most important parts of teaching music is to give students a complete grasp of performing music by combining theory into their lesson plan to make a well-rounded musician. Their lesson plan will depend on their playing level: I will make sure they have fundamentals down for beginner students, but also adding solo repertoire and etudes to teach virtuosity and good performance practice for the advanced students.
