I grew up with a Pianist and Music Theory Professor as a mother; I learned to read music at the same time as I learned to read English. Music has never lost that early childhood sense of wonder for me, and so it's my primary goal to share that with others. More importantly, I want to help people of all ages develop their own musical voice and directive. For beginning and intermediate students, I offer my own rudiment book to start learning on a practice pad or snare drum. For learning drum set, I use a variety of books and resources. I will meet and discuss these options with each student to find the right book for them. For more advanced students, I have them transcribe entire songs from bands they enjoy. I create Spotify playlists for students so they can easily access a variety of styles of music. Read More

I have performed in all kinds of groups including jazz bands, wind ensembles, latin groups, and even choirs. I grew up in Cozad, Nebraska which is a small town, but I was influenced by so many kinds of music given this age of technology. I did a lot of YouTube videos for them. I have helped them with performing opportunities such as at churches and events in Lincoln. I always create a connection between learning and performance so that students can strive for the best results to look toward. I don't hesitate to share my experiences to my students so that they have the opportunity to interact and learn in many music areas besides learning piano and singing such as ear training, theory, composition, using the software to record music, and a bunch of other things. For beginning students I like to start with the Standard of Excellence book 1. Getting through that book we would advance to Rubanks Advanced Method Vol. 1 book. Perfecting the sound and tone is key to making a piece of music sound good followed by inputting expression and giving it color to a piece making it have more characteristic than just a piece of music. I completed Grade 6 in ABRSM examination before coming to the United States for my Bachelor degree in Psychology. I had 3 years of piano performance experience when I was in a choir team and those were the most amazing times I have ever had. I joined a choir named Synctone Choir in 2009 and I have gone through vocal training for 3 years. There we had competitions and events like Acapella festivals.
