For someone with no experience on guitar I'll typically begin with scales, and familiarizing with the guitar. For bass; exactly the same as guitar to start, drums would start with with your basic 2,4 beat, and familiarization with parts (snare, hi hat, etc). Vocalist I would always start with a warm up, basics, and note reciting. I played with the Musician's Workshop orchestra in Temecula, CA while in high school. The orchestra was a beginner program and I joined to play as a mentor. I enjoyed mentoring the younger players in the group and did some x22mini lessonsx22 during our playing breaks with some of the wind musicians. This began my love of teaching. Once the student has progressed to gain fundamentals I introduce Alfred’s Basic piano Library Prep Course with the theory book as well.
