I am a dedicated and enthusiastic instructor and performer. Music has always been a positive influence on my life; I hope to foster the same lifelong love of music in my students! I hold a Masters degree from Manhattan School of Music in clarinet performance and a Bachelors degree from the University of Maryland, also in clarinet performance. As a performer, I have had the opportunity to play at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, the Kimmel Center and I spent one summer performing as a member of the National Reperotry Orchestra in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado. I generally ask what your musical interests are and then I find a method specific for each person. I work on identifying chords, improvisation,playing melodies and song writing as well. I am a fan of William levitts books or jazz guitar which is a method I learned at berklee and is a very useful book for picking teqnique in a fun way , exploring some classical etudes for electrical guitar and i find this to be a great tool for developing speed, ear training and identifying chords with different sonorities to them.
