Music is my gift. I am blessed with a natural ability which I have dedicated my life to learn, cultivate and nurture. To share this through teaching is rewarding. I teach students of all ages and levels. We have two recitals per year, which are unique and fun because of our wide variety of instruments and our group songs. My introductory lesson is full of information to build a foundation on which further knowledge can stand. We work through lesson books and as we approach recital time, we focus more on specific skills. After recital, we review and then begin again at our next level.

Teaching style.. function and goal driven. If ya wanna just strum chords sing the sappy pop songs on the radio.. cool. My preference is to help you unlock your heart song and your truest inner artist. I see myself as a sculptor and you, my student, as my greatest masterpiece.

I'm a pssionate musician and music teacher.  I enjoy sharing my passion with students.  I spend much of my time composing and teaching.  I graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 2012 with a major in English and a heavy emphasis on music.  I have studied African drumming, electronic music, classical music and jazz.  I am well versed in hip hop as well.  I have stayed tru to my roots and focused on mostly acoustic music, but my range transfers over to electric as well.  I have played in several ensembles and with friends.  Most recently I spent a semester teaching music in rural Oregon.  I play piano, guitar, banjo and drums.  I can teach all of these as well.

I am a dedicated professional who continually strives to better herself in all activities (especially music!). I have a passion for helping others achieve their musical goals and to improve their playing in whatever genre they desire. Whether it be jazz, classical, or popular transcriptions, music is music. During my Bachelor of Arts degree in Saxophone Performance, I spent countless hours performing in with piano accompaniment in recitals, in saxophone quartets, in jazz bands, and in various other small ensembles. Overall, I am versatile and thorough in my musical pursuits.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
