After working with them, I began working with the Baton Rouge Arts Council, bringing music and music appreciation to elementary school class rooms for children and schools that did not have a music teacher, on staff. I use various teaching tools such as Essential Elements or whatever book your child's school district requires. I believe teaching music literacy is very important.
