Will is a graduate of the LA College of Music (formerly LA Music Academy) in Pasadena, CA where he studied with industry giants such as Ralph Humphrey (Frank Zappa, Dancing With the Stars, Family Guy) and Joe Porcaro (LA Studio legend). His professional career began at 14 and has been teaching privately since 2012 in the Los Angeles area prior to recently relocating to Maplewood, NJ. I am a New York City based songwriter, artist, arranger, producer, and educator, most often occupying the space between R&B and Jazz. My music is influenced by artists ranging from Stevie Wonder to Erykah Badu to John Coltrane. I went to Boston in 2015 to study Musical Theatre at the Boston Conservatory. I always give students choices for piano pieces they would prefer or feel more comfortable playing. I am very encouraging and enthusiastic but at the same time I am very alert to the details of how the student is performing and progressing. I am very gentle and always try to just suggest a better way if I see a problem rather than criticizing. I believe piano lessons should be an enjoyable experience and dont push for required practice amounts or exercises that are not musical. I try to integrate piano study into the larger context of musicianship and see the ultimate goal to be creating an abiding love for music. Read More

I grew up being forced into piano lessons at the ripe age of five. My mother insisted and I rejected it. However, I had no choice in the matter. She wanted me to play the piano. So I learned. Once I started middle school, I joined the choir because I noticed that they were going on a lot of field trips. Little did I know that I would actually fall in love with singing. Read More

I graduated with my Bacholers in Music and Pyschology with a focus on opera voice in 2009. In my performance program I really grew as a vocalist and learned how to overcome my own obstacles and improve my vocal technique for myself. I feel confident now in sharing my experience and my education with my students so they are able to really grow and improve as well. I started professionally and privately studying vocal technique when I was 17 and prior to that I was performing musical theater in school and in community performance groups. Read More
