For beginning students, I start with the Douglas Steensland Flute Student books. For intermediate and advanced students, I focus on memorization of scales in addition to working out of Taffanel and Gaubert's 17 Daily Exercises, etude books (i.e., Melodious and Progressive series), and standard flute repertoire. My goal as a teacher is to help the students improve their overall musicianship, while also addressing each students personal goals. I'm passionate about music, and playing and teaching the drums brings me great joy. I have experience with students of all different ages, abilities and experience levels. I've studied percussion and drum set since 1990, and rudimental and hand drums since 1999. I can teach students to read music, as well as transcribe arrangements and transpose by ear. During my years in Poland I was acclaimed for my exceptional way of interpreting the romantic composers and specially the music of Frederic Chopin. I performed concerts throughout Poland and Germany, most importantly at the Chopin’s Birth Place in Zelazowa Wola, under Chopin’s Monument in Wlazieki Park, The Ostrogski Palace and The Grand Theater in Warsaw.
