Instruments: Clarinet
Upon assessing a student's level (this takes place in the first lesson), I will present material that is suitable for the student's level. I am a firm believer in a solid foundation, and the majority of each lesson will be spent teaching how to correctly play the clarinet. I incorporate repertoire and exercises as well, but my priority in lessons is strengthening a student's fundamentals. Read More
Instruments: Piano
I enjoy observing each student’s character in their playing and design lessons tailored for them. Also finding a good balance between the music that a student is good at, and others that a student is not familiar with. Playing piano is in a way of expressing one's opinion through music. Learning the history, musicology, stories behind a piece, and the different techniques and tones for expressing the music, are all important features in my teaching. Read More
Instruments: Piano Guitar Violin
I like to teach at the student's pace or what their parents have in mind. When I learned piano, my parents wanted me to learn at a high pace, and forced me to rush everything. As a result, I was able to play a lot of pieces, but the quality of the songs were not the best. I ended up slowing down and spent time to actually work on the tiny details of each song. Read More

Normally with very young students I start with the parallel study of written music, basic technique and music learned by imitation. This practice can be applied to all levels from the most basic to the most advanced. Read More
Instruments: Double Bass
My teaching experience has not been particularly extensive professionally. I have taught privately on and off since I was 20, however I have never really had the time to pursue it the way I am now that I am out of school. With younger students, we work slowly and reach milestones confidently to ensure the student feels they are achieving something while we work to promote healthy playing habits that won't lead to injury down the path. Instruments: Piano Keyboard
I have taught for over 40 years and am dedicated to helping all students reach their full potential. As a piano teacher I focus on developing a solid technique (ease of execution, tone, variety of touches, etc...), musical knowledge and stylistic awareness. I believe that we are all students and I simply try to pass on what I have learned, as well as what I continue to learn everyday. For me, the most important thing is personal growth. Read More
Instruments: Guitar
For beginners, learning basic chords and melodies including songs chosen by the student. For intermidiate, learning some repetoire of a student's preferred style and applying theory/adding new ideas as well as becoming more famliar with the guitar neck For advanced, learning improvisational concepts and practice techniques or difficult song passages that will improve student's technique and musical vocabulary. Reading music is an option for any level. Read More
