The basis of my teaching style is transparency.  My aim is to be as clear as possible about what I expect from my students, and how they can improve.  I believe great technique is the proper foundation for any musician, and I will always give the students exercises along with songs that will help my students to develop proper technique.  Most of all, I try to make sure that my students have fun.  Music is supposed to be fun, so maintaining a sense of humor is a good thing in my opinion. I will get my students prepared for any situation they want to take part in, whither it be auditions, recitals, casual gigs, recording sessions, and more. I'm dedicated to sharing my passion for music as a performer and teacher. Currently, I perform with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. In August 2021, I completed my time at The Orchestra Now at Bard College, which I joined in 2019. We performed classical orchestral works in various venues throughout New York, including Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I've been playing viola for over 15 years.
